Decorating for Christmas is always so fun but who has all that time for it? December can (read: does) be very busy so we all love quick and easy decoration ideas that can also be turned into super cute handmade Christmas gifts! These DIY clay holly and winter scene incense and candle holders are the perfect craft if you want to make something beautiful in a few minutes.
No matter if it’s your first time with air dry clay, these projects are so simple that anyone can make them!

You need:
- air dry clay
- parchment paper
- rolling pin
- acrylic colors + gloss varnish
How to:
It’s not the first time I post DIY air dry clay decorations and you can see them here. In case you need a refresh, start by working it with a rolling pin, then use a knife to cut the shape you prefer. To glue pieces together use a few drops of water after gently scratching the surfaces with the point of the knife. Make a little hole for the incense stick or leave it as it is. Let it dry completely on parchment paper (placed in a bowl if you want a curved shape as I did) then paint with acrylic colors and, once dry, add the gloss varnish. I did two layers of gloss varnish and they came out so shiny and beautiful!

Hope you enjoyed this Christmas DIY! I am in awe of how beautiful they are, if I think about how easy it was to make them! These DIY clay holly and winter scene incense and candel holders are already one of my favourite handmade Christmas decorations ever! 🎄✨
