Quando il vostro blog sembra a un punto fermo, non avete il traffico che vorreste, o il contenuto lascia a desiderare, una bella scossa è necessaria.
Maybe you are working and blogging and can’t give 110% focus to make your blog grow or maybe you are out of inspiration. Sometimes we have an idea of where we want to go, but don’t know where to start from. I’ve been feeling like this lately, so I am here to share with you what I’ve found on this topic. So, how can we change our blog for the better?

Magari lavorate e avete anche un blog e quindi non riuscite a dare il 110% (ma nemmeno il 50), magari non avete ispirazione. A volte abbiamo un’idea di dove vogliamo andare ma non sappiamo come e da dove partire. Io mi sono sentita così negli ultimi mesi ed ecco perché condivido con voi, oggi, quello che ho imparato.

Define your goals // Definite i vostri obiettivi
First thing to do is a list of goals you want to reach. It doesn’t mean that you can’t add goals or change them over time but even few goals can make you focus on what you want and have to do with your blog. Better audience? More collabs? Write down everything but be realistic: it is better to start reaching little goals (with a whole vision in mind) and then setting bigger ones, this will motivate you more because it will be easier to get results. // La prima cosa da fare è scrivere una lista di obiettivi che volete raggiungere. Col tempo potrete aggiungerne o modificarli, ma all’inizio anche solo alcuni possono farvi concentrare su ciò che volete e dovete fare col vostro blog. Maggiore audience? Più collaborazioni? Scrivete ciò che volete ma siate realistiche: è meglio fissare degli obiettivi più piccoli (con però una visione globale a mente) e man mano alzare l’asticella, ciò vi terrà motivate perché sarà più facile ottenere dei risultati.
Know your audience // Conoscete i vostri lettori
Focus on your actual or potential readers: who they are? Which things do they want to find on your blog? Try to define a “profile” of your ideal reader and figure out the topics he/she is interested in, according to your own skills/passions. So, stick to your own identity but add content that your audience like, you’re not writing for yourself, aren’t you? // Concentratevi su i tuoi lettori reali o potenziali: chi sono? Cosa vogliono trovare sul tuo blog? Cercate di definire un “profilo” del vostro lettore ideale e provate a capire quali argomenti possono essere di maggiore interesse, in accordo con le vostre capacità e passioni. Dunque, restate fedeli a voi stesse ma aggiungete anche contenuti nuovi e un po’ diversi, dal momento che non state scrivendo per voi solamente, giusto?
Picking your topics // Definite gli argomenti
The relationship with your audience isn’t just about one click and then never seeing them again. It’s about engaging them constantly. So, as said at the previous point, picking the right topics is everything. Starting from what you know, diversifying is the key. So, choose the main topic that’s the one you like the most, then add others related to it that you can enjoy writing too. A trick? Instead of creating new content every week, try to divide one single post in more parts: you will create more content with less efforts and your readers will be more motivated to keep reading it. // La relazione con l’audience non si basa su una visita e via, ma sul riuscire a farla tornare di nuovo sul sito. Come detto prima, scegliere gli argomenti giusti è tutto. Partite da uno che vi piace e che conoscete bene, poi diversificate con temi che ben si collegano ad esso e che non vi pesi trattare (altrimenti si noterà). Un trucchetto? Invece che creare sempre contenuti nuovi, provate a dividere un post in più parti: voi starete pubblicando di più ma con sforzi minori ed i vostri lettori saranno invogliati a continuare a leggere.
Better content // Un contenuto migliore
Defined the topics it’s time to write! Try to schedule your articles to get a regular posting, you don’t have to post everyday if you can’t, even 1 or 2 posts per week are okay, if you are costant. Quality over quantity is always appreciated, but this means that your articles must be accurated, with beautiful photos and a well written text. You can also try guest posts that are a great way to get someone writing in a different manner, but you’re also enticing people in! La qualità è meglio della quantità, ma ciò significa che in ogni articolo dovete metterci il massimo, con belle foto, testi scritti bene e idee originali. Potete anche utilizzare guest posts o altri modi per far intervenire blogger esterni sul vostro sito. Non dimenticate, poi, il SEO: parole chiave, foto, titolo e così via!

It’s an easy way to get a more professional look and nowadays you can get great themes without spending a fortune. There are a lot of services out there and even if themes are often the same, you can personalize them a lot to make your blog unique. I did it two years ago and never regretted it! When the blog will be ready, you will feel a new positive energy that will motivate you to do more and better! // Se pensate che il vostro blog abbia bisogno di un restyling, potreste optare per una nuova grafica. Infatti, è un modo facile e veloce di ottenere un sito dall’aspetto professionale e al giorno d’oggi potete farlo anche con una spesa contenuta. Ci sono tante aziende che offrono temi a un ottimo prezzo e potete anche personalizzarli, così da non perdere l’unicità del vostro blog. Io l’ho fatto due anni fa e non me ne sono mai pentita! Una volta che il blog sarà pronto sentirete una nuova energia positiva, che vi porterà a voler fare di più e meglio!
